AC Energy Saving Lamps

The AC energy saving lamp is a kind of compact fluorescent lamp that is equipped with ballast, and it is mainly used for lighting purpose in houses, offices, hotels, malls, industrial plants and other places.

Structure
1. Tube

a. U-shaped: 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U
b. Full spiral shaped: 2.5T, 3T, 4T where T stands for the number of coils
c. Half spiral shaped: 2.5T, 3T, 4T where T stands for the number of coils

2. Plastic Part
The plastic part is manufactured by PP, PC or PBT.
a. PP is very soft, and it is mainly used for low-end product.
b. PC is for high-end product, and its surface is glossy.
c. PBT is a kind of top-grade flame retardant material, and its surface contains two choices which are glossy and frosted matte.

3. Base
a. The lamp base is made of copper, iron or aluminum, while the high-end nickel plated base is also available.
b. According to its specification, the base could be divided into E14, E27, E40 and B22.

Our energy saving lamps have different power ratings, including 3W, 5W, 7W, 9W, 11W, 26W, 30W, 36W, 45W, 55W, 65W and 75W. The fluorescent powder also contains three choices which are halogen powder, mixed powder and tri-phosphor powder. Lamps using halogen powder and mixed powder have a life span of 3000-4000 hours and 4000-6000 hours respectively, while ones with tri-phosphor powder are expected to serve for more than 8000 hours.

Technical Requirements
1. Electrical Parameters

a. Voltage range: Rated voltage +10%/-20%
b. Power range: Rated power +5%/-10%
c. Power factor: >0.6 or >0.9 according to practical applications
d. The energy saving lamp should conform to requirements for safety, EMI (electromagnetic interference) and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).
e. The operating frequency of electronic ballast should be different from remote control frequency of other home appliances.
f. It must be able to deliver reliable and stable performance under high and low temperature conditions.

2. Optical Parameters
a. Luminous flux: It refers to the total amount of light produced by the light source in one second, and its symbol and SI unit are Ф and lumen (lm), respectively.
b. Luminous efficiency: ≥45 lm/W for energy saving lamp whose power is less than 15W, and ≥60 lm/W for ones with power of 15W or higher.
c. Color rendering index (CRI): ≥80
d. Color temperature: Requires small deviation and good consistency
e. Starting time: ≤1 second

3. Expectable Lifetime
a. Effective service life: >8000 hours (the luminous flux must be maintained at 70 or higher percent of the initial light output)
b. Within its effective service life, the energy saving lamp should work in a reliable way at different temperatures that may be as high as 85°C or as low as -20°C.
c. Within the temperature range mentioned above, namely -20°C to 85°C, this product should be able to withstand voltage fluctuation.
